The Arrant furniture collection focuses on simple geometry and an appreciation for pertinence.

The expression of the collection is the balance between a refined silhouette, congruent use of material, uniform detail and a continuous composition.

Hestia have designed a series of furniture prototypes for an interior design restoration in Scotland. The brief was to create a utilitarian family of furniture that could also serve as accent pieces for contemporary homes, guest houses, restaurants and bars.

Authentic design is not only about an appealing shape but the harmony between several parameters - respecting the material, the production, a good dialogue with the client and creating appeal to the customer.

From the beginning of the design process Hestia wanted to create a form that captures the simplicity of homogenous, rural life. The name Arrant derives from focusing on the idea of absolute design; the outcome is a refined silhouette, characterised by the congruent use of material, uniform detail and a continuous composition.

The collection is versatile and has the ability to fit into different contexts and styles, speaking to a wide range of consumers whilst maintaining a very precise identity that makes the range recognisable.
